Kellermann father,
the craftsman of the victory of Valmy, which saves, in 1792 France:

Kellermann,
already soldier at 15 years, is a soldier of career when occurs
the Revolution. In 1789, he is a brigadier of the royal armies.
Appointed general lieutenant in 1792, it controls the Army of
the Center. It is at this station that it orders from the battle
of Valmy (September 20, 1792). The following year, it represses
the insurrection of Lyon. The Committee of Public Hello the threatening
judge and the fact of imprisoning. Released after 9-Thermidor,
Kellermann takes the command of the Army of the Alps and the
Army of Italy in May 1795. It yields its forces to Bonaparte
in October 1797, when the Army of the Alps is joined together
with that of Italy. It is named general inspector of the cavalry
of the Army of England, then Army of Holland.

After
the 18-Brumaire, Bonaparte does not spare the honors to him,
doing it member of the senate in January 1800; he becomes president
about it on August 2, 1801. He is member of the large board of
directors of the Legion of Honor on July 2, 1802, marshal on
May 19, 1804 and duke of Valmy in 1807. At the time of the unloading
of Walcheren, in 1809, Kellermann is charged to form an army
corps to push back the English.

With
the Restoration, Kellermann joins in Louis XVIII, who does it
Pair France on June 7, 1814 and Large-Cross of Saint-Louis on
August 23. It dies in Paris on September 13, 1820.
